Nioh Omi Region Missions

Here we will go over all of the Nioh Omi Region Missions. Omi region is the final main region and contains 4 main missions and 11 sub missions for you to complete. There are a lot of missions to complete in NIOH. The missions are broken down into categories throughout the game, which are main missions, sub missions, twilight missions and the dojo missions. The Twilight missions which are much harder versions of some standard missions in the game and only appear sporadically at the rate of 2 every 24 hours (real time).

All of these missions can be completed on Way of the Samurai which will help and if you need any other Nioh missions, check out the Samurai of Legend trophy guide for how to complete every mission in the game. I recommend going through the game, completing The Queen’s Eyes (final mission) then levelling up on Way of the Strong then coming back to mop up any remaining / harder / twilight missions you have outstanding on Way of the Samurai. I will give you a brief guide on how to get through every mission in the Omi region as well as a Let’s Play video for every mission showing you what you need to do to complete that given mission. The 15 Omi Region missions are as follows:

  1. A Defiled Holy Mountain.
  2. The Samurai from Sawayama.
  3. The Demon King Revealed.
  4. The Queen’s Eyes.
  5. Master of the Twin Blades.
  6. The Mountain of Remorse.
  7. The Ghosts of Sawayama.
  8. The Inheritance.
  9. The Two Kings: Nioh.
  10. A Meeting on the Other Shore.
  11. Tea-Time Entertainment.
  12. Hyakki Yagyo.
  13. Night Falls Again.
  14. Restless Spirits.
  15. The Return of the Gourd.

A Defiled Holy Mountain

Main Mission, level 120.
You will need to go up and through the mountain through an incredible amount of enemies to the boss door. Head through once you’ve used the shrine at the left of the steps leading up to him as this guy is one the most challenging fights in the entire game. Ishida Mitsunari is, for me, one of the toughest bosses in the series, he is lightning fast, emplys some very powerful wind based shockwave attacks as well as death enducing combos and enough Ki to rival any other in the game. Lightning will help slow him down as will Ninjitsu / Onmyo buffs / debuffs. Ultimately though, there is no trick as it’s a pure test of skill. Block as often as you get the chance and use your living weapon effectively to come out the other side. Once you have defeated Ishida Mitsunari, the mission will complete.

The Samurai From Sawayama

Main Mission, level 127.
A maze like area that’s easy to get stuck in, especially if you fall through the floor. Destroy the first 2 amrita candles, going through the doors after the second then go left, right and down the stairs. Follow the path to the end take out the One-eyed Oni, go up the stairs behind it, then up the spiral staircase taking care not to get flattened by the boulder. Head through opening the doors to the boss. This guy hits like a truck and employs lightning to slow you down. Bring a fire based living weapon with you. Dodge and counter effectively throughout to be able to take the Obsidian Samurai down where you will then complete the mission.

The Demon King Revealed

Main Mission, level 135.
I wouldn’t even bother attempting this mission until you’re level 150+ with some very powerful gear. You’re going to need it!
Every few minutes in this mission, you will be ambushed by some very powerful yokai including Karasu Tengus, Onyudos, One-eyed Oni, large Skeleton Warriors with the Axe as well as plenty of Yoki and Skeleton Warriors to name but a few. You will need to cut your way through all of them whilst avoiding falling off the sometimes very narrow ledges in throughout the level. For the first half of the mission, you have Okatsu and Hattori Hanzo along to help. In the second section, however, you’re on your own. Head up the amrita path to the Temple, where you will need to exit out of all 4 corners and defeat the following bosses:

  1. Nue.
  2. Onryoki.
  3. Hino-Enma.
  4. Joro-Gumo.

Once you have done all of that, go up the elevator and take out Oda Nobunaga, a Samurai who uses devastating combos as well as a powerful Guardian Spirit. After he’s been taken out, head up and defeat Edward Kelley, he needs to be taken down to 20% health where he will then run away. That’s 6 bosses defeated so far…

Next is a very hard to manage boss, Yamata-no-Orochi, a multi headed snake which employs every element in the game, you will need to be very quick and skilled to avoid getting hit from behind which can easily be a death sentence. Ensure you have large spirit stones equipped as shortcuts to replenish your living weapon. Take down Yamata-no-Orichi then head down the beach to complete the mission.

The Queen's Eyes

Main Mission, level 145.
Make your way through the Tower of London to the basement where you will have a very difficult fight against 3 Kelley Clones. Edge forward and shoot the one on the left to aggro it, take it out as quick as you can then go through and tackle the 2 on the right. The tanks around the fight are full of amrita and will replenish your living weapon very quickly. This combined with the Kelley Clones’ woefully low Ki should see you take the victory soon enough. Head through to face off against the true final boss, Hundred Eyes. This guy can replenish his health if allowed so keep the pressure on at all times, avoid the eye lasers as effectively as possible making good use of your living weapon. Defeat Hundred Eyes to complete the mission.

Master Of The Twin Blades

Sub Mission, level 117.
Drop down into the pit and take out all of the yokai, kill the Nue at the end to complete the mission.

The Mountain Of Remorse

Sub Mission, level 124.
Run through the mission going through the yokai to the boss steps, head up and into the boss arena, defeat all of the yokai that appear then finally defeat Onryoki to complete the mission.

The Ghosts Of Sawayama

Sub Mission, level 130.
Go through the mission defeating smashing the large purple amrita clusters, there’s 3 to smash through the mission. You’re going to be facing some powerful yokai as you go including Sentries, Wheelmonks, Amrita Fiends finishing up with a boss fight against Otani Yoshitsugu. You’re in a small area and he’s fast so make good use of your blocks, get him down to half health then living weapon to hopefully finish him off.

The Inheritance

Sub Mission, level 132.
Defeat the yokai in the first 2 areas then go through and take out the powerful NPC to complete the mission.

The Two Kings: Nioh

Sub Mission, level 139.
You have the unenviable task of defeating both Tachibana Muneshige a master swordsman who employs lightning based attacks to slow you down then incredibly powerful combos to defeat you as well as fighting Honda Tadakatsu a master spearman who can devastate your Ki meter faster than most. This fight is just plain tough, stay as agile as you can, run in, get a couple of hits on one of them then run back, avoid getting hit by Tachibana’s Raiken at all costs as being slowed in this fight is almost certain death. Work on one of them until they’re defeated making it a one-on-one fight with the other. Make good use of your buffs/ debuffs and you will take the win eventually. Once they’re both down, the mission will complete.

A Meeting On The Other Shore

Sub Mission, level 141.
Another two on one fight, this time you’re going to take on Oda Nobunaga and Yuki-Onna, as they both employ water based attacks, ensure you bring a lightning based living weapon with you. Stay away from Nobunaga focusing on Yuki first as she can rip you apart if given the chance. Ensure you bring a good amount of ranged gear with you to avoid going blow for blow for Nobunaga then activate your living weapon to hopefully finish him off. After you defeat the both of them, the mission will complete.

Tea-Time Entertainment

Sub Mission, level 145.
Defeat 2 Karasu Tengu and a Nue to complete the mission.

Hyakki Yagyo

Sub Mission, level 155.
This mission is a boss rush against Ogress, Joro-Gumo, Hino-Enma then Hundred Eyes. There is no shrine in this mission so what you have is what you have, only use your Elixirs when you have to. Try not to waste any buffs / debuffs and work your way through each boss until they’re all defeated where the mission will complete.

Night Falls Again

Sub Mission, level 155.
Work your way through the Mages and the yokai until 2 NPCs spawn, these guys are absolutely brutal, they have seemingly unlimited Ki and just don’t let up, the one with the Hammer also has a Hand Cannon making him equally lethal at range or up close, the swordsman is unrelenting in his approach. Make good use of your living weapon, buff / debuffs to take them down. You then have a very powerful Onryoki to take down. Defeat everyone to complete the mission.

Restless Spirits

Sub Mission, level 155.
Another nasty end game mission against Otani Yoshitsugu and Ishida Mitsunari, fortunately, you fight them one at a time. Conserve all of your gear for the fight against Ishida as he’s a lot harder than Otani. Stay on him trying to get on his back as much as you can, run away to heal and restock you living weapon. Defeat them both to complete the mission.

The Return Of The Gourd

Sub Mission, level 155.
Brutal doesn’t really sum this mission up, it’s one of the toughest in the game as you will have to take down several NPCs who are each a challenge in their own right. After which you then need to defeat both the Dark Samurai and Oda Nobunaga together!. No way around it, you’re going to need to be seriously high levelled and posses some incredible skill to get through this mission, fortunately, the NPCs have a decent (not guaranteed) chance of dropping Elixirs so ensure you use one before picking one up. Defeat everyone to complete the mission. Good luck!

That’s how to complete all 15 missions in the Omi region. If you need to complete any other missions in Nioh, feel free to check out the Samurai of Legend trophy guide.
