The Path Finder DLC for No Man’s Sky brings some heavy updates including a Permadeath Mode, Planetary Vehicles, base sharing, multi tools and greatly improved graphics and they even managed a Photo Mode, something sorely missing at launch. Oh, and the Path Finder DLC is free to all so there’s no reason not to give this one a go, get it downloaded then, trophy wise we recommend going through the list in the following order:

No Man's Sky Path Finder DLC Cradle trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

16 G

Cradle
Claim a Base or Buy a Freighter

This will pop naturally. Some chromatic metal to build a base computer and you are golden, this is part of the beginning missions you have to do so its unmissable. You also gain a free freighter quite early in the game but either way once you have claimed a Base or bought a Freighter you will unlock Cradle.

No Man's Sky Path Finder DLC Navigators trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

16 G

Navigators
Build an Exocraft

In the anomaly there’s a base parts place. Back of the anomaly left side middle computer, its the third page towards the right. The are pretty cheap to make

  1. 5x Metal Plate.
  2. 2x Ion Battery.
  3. 50x Paraffinium

Just need any one to unlock Navigators.

No Man's Sky Path Finder DLC Reunion trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

16 G

Reunion
Visit another Player’s Base

You have to find a base computer and access it. Pretty easy. The warp gate in the anomaly has a list of other player bases, it will spawn you very close to the base computer, this doesn’t seem to work with friends bases but I’m more then happy to be corrected but that said once you do access a base computer you will unlock Reunion.

No Man's Sky Path Finder DLC Take a Deep Breath trophy
PlayStation Bronze Trophy

16 G

Take a Deep Breath
Reach the Centre of the Galaxy in Survival Mode

Unlocking Take a Deep Breath will happen at the same time you unlock To Live Forever.

No Man's Sky Path Finder DLC To Live Forever trophy
PlayStation Silver Trophy

72 G

To Live Forever
Reach the Centre of the Galaxy in Permadeath Mode

Reach the Centre of the Galaxy in Permadeath Mode. This one can be very hit or miss. Using what you have learned from your normal mode playthrough should help massively with this. Most die to the scripted storm that happens in the beginning. Before you go for the Hermetic seal be sure to load up on sodium or Ion Batteries. Caves are the best place for Cobalt for the material needed to craft them.

Next is the centre of the Galaxy. Now this one isn’t fun. There is a way. You need to find a grave site, this will give you the first gate symbol, this is the only one needed to warp. Once you have the first one next is to find a portal. The cartographer in the space station will have the “Alien cartographic data”. Be sure to buy at least 5-10 of them, they take navigation data to trade them. Then land on a planet and activate them. Keep trying until you see “Alien Monolith” appear there. Then head there and solve the word puzzle. Depending on the species depends on the response.

  • The Gek are traders. The value honesty and exchanging of goods.
  • The Vy’keen are War like and value integrity and honor. A code of conduct.
  • The Kovax value knowledge and information.

Once you have found the portal then charge up all the slots with the material needed and hit the only symbol you will have access to. This will take you to about 5k lightyears away from the centre. Better than 600k in my book. Unlocking To Live Forever will also unlock Take a Deep Breath, solo is a little more involved. Caves and dupes should make it very easy, if you want a more manual approach then its about 6-8hrs of warping and crafting the required Warp Cells. I highly suggest you turn off the space combat in the difficulty menu. this will stop them coming after you all the time. Doing this will not void this trophy.

That’s the No Man’s Sky Path Finder DLC trophy guide complete, I hope it helped you through the pack.
