Here is the Remnant 2 The Awakened King DLC Cursed Wretch Aberration guide which will help you find and take down the Cursed Wretch who is currently hiding in an NPC in the Forgotten Commune who is trapped in her own nightmare.
Location: The Awakened King DLC, The Forgotten Commune.
Rewards: Guts Mutator, Scrap x250.
Head through to the mini checkpoint in the Forgotten Commune so you can rest up and get your bearings. From here, go forward taking out the green Fiends then descend the ladder.
Take out the shock based bulbous creature(s) in the water then head into the back room before dropping down into the water and speak with Elowen who describes a darkness inside her and gives you some background about the One True King. Elowen will be the Cursed Wretch, but you have some work to do before hand. Ensure you have gone through the Forgotten Commune opening up the gate in the water and the doors either side of the mini checkpoint which will ensure you have access to every location you need. The path is very linear, however the areas are also filled with Fiends and Specials so be careful as you go then rest at the mini checkpoint again to restock your relics and ammo.
Go through the tunnel to the left of the ladder you took down to speak with Elowen, follow the path then take the left down the stairs to come to the first of 2 Befouled Altars and destroy it ensuring you collect the Scythe Blade which drops in the Altars place.

From here, go back to the mini checkpoint and rest up replenishing your gear then go down the ladder by Elowen again and into the water taking a left through the gate you should have opened by now (head through the biome and drop down the half ladder, kill the Fiends then pull the lever to open the gate). Follow the path to the second Befouled Altar and destroy this one as well where you will be able to collect the Scythe Hilt.

Now I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if you need to do this next part but I did so I’ll let you know just in case. Open your inventory and inspect the Scythe Hilt, rotate the hilt around to the neck then choose interact when prompted where you can then select the Scythe Blade which will craft the Ritualist Scythe.
Head back to the mini checkpoint and rest then go back down the ladder and take out the 2 shock based bulbous creatures which made the Cursed Wretch come out of the hut on the attack. You might need to go into the hut to make Elowen spawn into the Cursed Wretch but for me she popped out when I was killing her cohorts.
The Cursed Wretch is a tough fight against an overgrown Fiend which can utilise both green and purple Fiend attacks with much greater efficiency so avoid the vomit, slams, green gas bubbles, swipes and slashes whilst dealing as much damage as you can whilst remembering fire doesn’t work well in the water where as shock does so go in with the correct gear to make the fight more manageable.
Take care if you need to run away as resting at the checkpoint will have restored the green Fiends to your left and the purple Fiend in the tunnel so try not to make the fight tougher than it needs to be. Bring the Cursed Wretch down to lay Elowen to rest.
