The Derelict Lighthouse is a randomly occurring biome in The Awakened King DLC and can be an area fraught with danger as there are a good number of shotgun wielding enemies as well as Specials trying to carve you a new one. Proceed through the biome to the mini checkpoint and rest up if you need to where you can then continue forward on the main path into a large where both Gorecarver and Thunderpiercer will be waiting for you.

Gorecarver is a tougher version of one of the Saw wielding Specials you face throughout the Dran sections of Losomn except he’s a lot tougher and Thunderpiercer is a shotgun wielding Aberration with a very good aim and a harder hit with the main threat coming from the speed and distance his rounds can cover. Try and deal with Gorecarver first as he won’t stop coming for you otherwise potentially leaving you open to more damage from Thunderpiercer if you’re caught or knocked out into the open.

Take Gorecarver down in the same manner you usually would do for this type of enemy, avoid the saw attacks, get behind him then unload into the back of his head and dodge back if he creates a smoke cloud.

With Gorecarver down you can then focus your attention on Thunderpiercer who will be easier to take down if you stay in cover, pop out and bait a shot until he reloads then unload on him.

Be careful about getting too close to him as a point blank blast from that gun he’s wielding can half health a max armor build so anything lighter has the potential to get shredded. With both Aberrations down you will then receive the Lighthouse Key which you need to acquire the Sparkfire Shotgun long gun. (Take a left at the end of the bridge as using the key loses the key so stay out of the lighthouse above ground).
