Location: The Awakened King DLC, Chamber of the Faithless.
Rewards: Tormentor’s Pommel x1 / Agony Spike x1, .Lumenite Crystal x5, Tome of Knowledge x1, Scrap x750.
Go all the way through the DLC around to the back of the Forlorn Coast where you will ultimately come to the Palace of the One True King which leads you through to the Chamber of the Faithless where you can see the slain council as well as the fallen Fae the King has decimated upon returning.
Head through into his chambers and choose the following dialogue options:
- “Calm down, big boy.“
- “Sounds like a lot of hassle. Let’s fight!”.
The One True King will then transport you to his arena and you’ll be thrust into the fight which can be a challenge to be fair as this World boss hits incredibly hard and has a high defence.
You will be faced with slam attacks as well as a powerful vomiting attacks which can cause considerable damage and feels like a strange choice of attacks from the developers but the strangeness won’t negate the damage so dodge out of the stream if you’re caught up in it.
He will also teleport around the arena whilst bringing large shockwaves and energy pulses your way which can deal heavy damage as can the energy spires which are created to get you from behind. Clear out the Dran whilst also keeping an eye behind you for attacks from the King which can easily cause a death if the Dran then swarm you so keep your head on a swivel to make things easier to avoid.
The One True King doesn’t have any noticeable weaknesses except for the slit on his face so aim for that as best as you can ensuring you save your best attacks for when he kneels down for a rest and keep yourself above half health at all times.
Keep plugging away at the King until you bring him down where you will then have completed the Awakened King DLC.
