Here we will take a look at how to acquire the Remnant 2 The Forgotten Kingdom DLC Profane Heart Relic which is a very powerful life steal based relic which, upon use, heals you for every point of damage you inflict. Definitely one for the more aggressive players.

Location: The Forgotten Kingdom DLC, Infested Abyss.
Requirements: Complete the Emissary’s request.
This is a very good relic and as such it is a very tough one to get your hands on. You will earn the Profane Heart Relic once you have complete the quest for the Emissary in the Infested Abyss, a randomly occurring biome after you have completed your One Shot Adventure.

The Profane Heart Relic will be awarded to you once you unlock The Burden Hardest to Bear so if you are working towards that one, carry on, if not, here is an overview of what you need to do and be prepared, this can be a very tough one to unlock. Ensure you have your best gear, Mutators, Relics, Archetypes and Rings equipped focusing primarily on AOE damage so weapons like Enigma, Nightfall and Wrathbringer will be very useful as well as Relics such as Void Heart or Ripened Heart as you have to fight through 3 Root Nexus Aberrations which call upon Armies of Specials and normal enemies found both on Yaesha and Root Earth which can considerably increase the difficulty.

Once you have fought through all 3 Root Nexus, drop down and collect the Crystal Staff over to your left (not necessary but it’s there for you) then go and speak to the Emissary agreeing to submit which will gift you the Profane Soul Stone amulet.

Now for the tricky part, if you have already completed the main campaign then you will need a re roll on any starting point then go through to the Labyrinth, take down the Labyrinth Sentinel and speak to the Keeper ensuring you have the Profane Soul Stone Amulet equipped. After the cutscene with yourself, Clementine and the Keeper has finished, speak to the Keeper again then choose to leave the conversation where he will say you carry something he can cleanse.

Refuse his request opting to keep the Amulet then head back to the Infested Abyss biome on Adventure Mode, speak to the Emissary again where he will ask for the Amulet. Give it to him where he will reward you with the Profane Heart Relic.
