Location: The Forgotten Kingdom DLC, Luminous Vale.
Rewards: Far-Sighted Mutator, Scrap x250.
Before the Stonewing Lurker will appear you will firstly need to complete the DLC by defeating Lydusa (refer to the Lydusa boss guide if you haven’t done so yet) which will unlock Requiem of the Forgotten Kingdom, then head back to Luminous Vale, go to the centre of the biome and look up to the wall to face off against the Stoneing Lurker who will swoop down once it aggro’s.

The Stonewing Lurker is similar to the Avian Specials you will have faced through the DLC, however, with this one being an Aberration you will also have the abilities to contend with it spawns with which are random, you could be lucky and get simple skills like Empathy and Rat Swarm or you could have a nightmare and get Shocker or Cloner with Root Grab being particularly bothersome due to the Lurker’s ability to slam down on to you if you get caught in the root.

Given the location of the Aberration in the Luminous Vale I recommend clearing as many enemies and Specials as you can before engaging the Lurker as it can make the fight a lot more challenging if you are getting hit from all directions whilst also having to watch for the slams from above so AOE damage will help considerably. Count the slams the Lurker does, it is usually 2 or 3 slams then a screech. If you use a Relic just before the screech you can negate most of the effect allowing you to return fire sooner whilst also getting in a cheeky heal along the way.

Aim for the face as best as you can and use your best attacks to bring the Lurker down as if you get staggered it can leave you open for powerful attacks which can put you down with ease. Keep the pressure on until you bring the Stoneing Lurker Aberration down for good.
