Khazan is a tough game regardless of the difficulty you are playing on and unlike other Soulslikes where you usually have various options to heal should you run out of Estus / Elixirs etc. Khazan has 1 real way of way with replenishable resources, Netherworld Energy. You can also heal by using the Souls of the dead you can collect but as these are finite, they’re really best to be saved for the final boss rather than wasted on normal enemy encounters so the more times you can recharge your health, the greater the chances you’ll have of surviving. The 5 Netherworld Energy you can collect in the First Berserker Khazan are:
Netherworld Energy 1
Location: Charnak Mountain Range, Embars Ruins, Forgotten Temple, Forgotten Temple Entrance.
Take out the Dragonkin praying to the altar then go up the stairs and take out the Dragonkin, go right then follow the path round to the 2 Dragonkin Archers who you need to put down. From here, drop down, go pass the Bard and up the stairs to your right where you can follow the path to the end to find the Netherworld Energy.
Netherworld Energy 2
Location: Charnak Mountain Range, Skoffa Cave, Strange Stench, Collapsed Mine.
Traverse up around the wooden beams as you usually would blocking the Bat strikes and taking out the Spiders then when you get to the top, run right and activate the lift which saves you the bother of using the beams again. Go back to the final platform where you took out the Spiders, go to the far side and climb the back beam up to where you can collect the Netherworld Energy.
Netherworld Energy 3
Location: Pell Los Plateau, El Ravaca Village, Devoured Village, Underground Water Facility.
Take out the Revenant Devourer or run pass it to the ladders then go through the pipe taking out any Spiders who aggro then follow the main path round to the ladder you can climb up into the broken pipe. Take a left in the pipe then left again where you need to continue following the path to the end where you can collect the Netherworld Energy.
Netherworld Energy 4
Location: Heart of Pell Los, Rephalan Mountains, Atlante the Precise, Destroyed Ruins.
Take out the fist giant Undead wielding a Greatsword then follow the path round to the left whilst staying against the right wall. Go behind the Cylindrical structure to find the Netherworld Energy.
Netherworld Energy 5
Location: Vitalon Capital of the Empire, Great Temple, The Vow, Forbidden Passage.
Take out the Elite undead then follow the linear path through the Plague taking out the Lycans, Enraged Lycans and Goblins as you go then once you get to the area with 2 Shield wielding undead and an Ice Archer take them all out before dropping down. Look behind where the Ice Archer was once you have finished it off to find the Netherworld Energy.
