  As long as you don’t start new game plus once you have beaten then final boss and rolled the credits there will be many trophies you can acquire if you missed them, the others listed above are trophies that will be missable once you have taken down the final boss and haven’t fulfilled the requirements. The guide is set up to take you through new game plus as you need at least 2 playthroughs in order to fulfil the requirements for the difficulty based trophies.

The First Berserker Khazan sees you assume the role of General Khazan, a General who is trying to reclaim his name and put an end to the Chaos along the way whilst being aided by the Blade Phantom, a Sentinel of the Netherworld where everything is in turmoil with the presence of Chaos being wrought upon the realm of the living and Monsters are free to roam the lands. Khazan is a definitive souls-like game and one of the best in the genre and gives you 3 different weapon classes to use and master, the Dual Wield, a sword and axe combo which is incredibly fast, a Greatsword which overpowers most foes and utilises the power of the Earth to crush your enemies and the Spear which is a fast, powerful, ranged build which utilises magic, speed and combos to put your enemies down.

You are free to re-spec whenever you need to so don’t worry about committing your skill points to one given class, mix things up as you work through the game and see what weapons work best for your preferred playstyle. Most bosses can be brought down by any weapon, however, faster bosses will be better fought with faster weapons so bosses such as Trokka or Princess Ilyana are very fast so using the Greatsword won’t necessarily be the best option as the attacks take a second to wind up where as the Greatsword would be a very good choice against bosses such as Hismar or Skalpel where AOE damage is key to victory.

You have a lot of help along the way including Phantom’s who increase a particular stat or health benefit, skill trees, armour sets, stats on your gear and weaponry, accessories, elixirs designed to increase your fire, Chaos resistance etc. You can also wear as many pieces of an armour set to give you an edge in a particular battle for example there’s a story boss who uses a shield to block damn near every attack you throw at her, if you equip 2 pieces of armour from the Deep Shadow set you then increase your Guard Penetration by 90% which all but removes the shield’s defensive power allowing you to inflict a lot more damage so ensure you mix things up and go in geared appropriately to increase your chances of survival.

Trophy wise there is a lot to do through The First Berserker Khazan and you will need to do a minimum of 2 complete playthroughs from start to finish and I do recommend doing your first playthrough on Easy just so you can get an idea of how the game works, the mechanics, the bosses, Elite enemies, tough groups of enemies, get the collectibles done and greatly increase your overall power so if we break down the majority of the guide into the 4 main regions of the game you can earn the following trophies in the first region of the game, the Charnak Mountain Range:

• Berserk Dragon’s General.
• Fallen Guardian.
• Origin of the Mutation.
• Finishing Strike.
• Ambush.
• Piercing Power.
• Tears of the Soul.

With the Charnak Mountain Range region completed you will have unlocked several useful NPC’s which upon speaking to and performing some tasks for will allow you to access certain side missions as well as being able to craft, sell and purchase gear which unlocks the following trophies:

• Skilled Blacksmith.
• Blacksmith’s Resolve.
• Resourceful Merchant.
• Merchant’s Wisdom.
• Awakened Ghost.
• Soulstone Unleashed.
• Danjin’s Jars.
• Artisanship.

Now with all that done you will be well on your way to understand how the game works which will be useful as the second region in the game is a deadly one so spend some time levelling up as you work towards completing each of the main missions in the Pell Los Plateau which will unlock the following trophies:

• Slayer in the Citadel.
• Consumed by Chaos.
• No Turning Back….
• Linon’s Beast.
• Pact.

With the main missions completed, speak to the relevant NPC’s to unlock the side missions which along the way between the missions and the unlockable NPC’s in the Crevice will allow you to work towards unlocking:

• Human Xilence.
• Kaleido.
• Indomitable.

The third region of the game, the Heart of Pell Los is another tough region filled with all kinds of monsters, bosses, collectibles and where the story takes a sinister turn. In the Heart of Pell Los you can unlock the following trophies:

• Return of the Witch.
• Hermit.
• Bloodthirsty Fiend.
• Tragedy of Pell Los.

With the main missions completed, speak with the relevant NPC’s in the Crevice which will give you access to the Heart of Pell Los side missions where you can work towards unlocking these trophies:

• The Order.
• The Hidden Laboratory.
• Desperate Escape.
• Trial of the Sword.

Now for the final section of the base game, you will need to work through the Vitalon Capital of the Empire region which is a tough one mainly due to the bosses who are all brick walls in the main game. You can finish off the Bloodied Sanctuary main mission but please wait and read lower down the roadmap before going into the Master of Chaos mission as the final mission requires you to ensure you have done a few things before you go to far. Completing up to and including the Bloodied Sanctuary mission will unlock the following tropheis:

• Hismar the Berserk Dragon.
• Faded Memories.

With the first 2 main missions completed you will then be able to speak with the NPC’s in the Crevice and as long as you have collected the 3 pieces of the Temple Key you will be able to access the Vow side mission as well as the remaining side missions where you can unlock the following trophies an if you have missed anything for example for, The Bard’s Lamentations or Ozma’s Past you can go back to any previous mission and fulfil the requirements:

• Reeses’s Past.
• Tool of the Netherworld.
• Undying Loyalty.
• The Bard’s Lamentations.
• Ozma’s Past.
• Countless Tales.

Now it’s time to enter the final mission, Master of Chaos where you are free to work through to the Corrupted Lounge Blade Nexus where you then need to go down to the left of the Blade Nexus and speak with Daphrona ensuring you choose the “I must know the truth” dialogue option which then frees you up to go forth and defeat the final boss, Ozma who is a 3 phase boss utilising hard hitting attacks and the Chaos status. The Master of Chaos mission is also where you will find the final Soulstones and the last Jarling in the game which enables you to unlock the following trophies as long as you are playing on the recommended easy difficulty and have also ensured you didn’t summon a single Spirit of Advocacy along the way through your first playthrough:

• Agent of the Netherworld.
• Standing Alone.
• The Challenger’s Journey.
• THE FIRST BERSERKER.

With your first playthrough complete, ensure you haven’t missed anything above then when you’re ready speak to the Blade Phantom in the Crevice and choose a new playthrough. As soon as you can control Khazan. Pause the game and change the difficulty to Normal if it stayed on easy then proceed through the entire game again this time being free to summon Spirit’s of Advocacy as you already have the the Standing Alone trophy unlocked if you’re struggling with any of the bosses then complete the game again where you will unlock:

• A New Path.
• The Expert’s Journey.

Finally, as a coveted reward for your efforts and as long as you haven’t missed anything above you will then unlock:

• KHAZAN.

Story related.
Volbaino is a powerful Moose who you will face in the First Act of Revenge mission in Phraugh Village and can be a tough opponent as it is unrelenting so good use of parry and counterattacks will help you here as will any abilities you have to enhance damage. Also, ensure you have Fire Resistance Elixir equipped as the arena will be filled with fire on occasion. Also make good use of the ladder top avoid the more powerful attacks then keep the pressure on until you defeat Volbaino unlocking Fallen Guardian once he’s down.
