Here’s the The Last Of Us Part II Numismatist Trophy Guide. There are a total of 32 coins to collect and they can only be collected by Abby as she makes her way through her various chapters. The coins, as you would expect are very small and can be hard to find even in plain sight. To make them a lot easier to locate turn on the Enhanced Listen Mode (Pause> Options> Accessibility> Navigation And Traversal> Enhanced Listen Mode> On> Scan Range> 30m> Scan Time> 1s) which will send a sonar out highlighting every item that can be collected including the coins. You can then hold R1+Circle to scan the area revealing everything you can collect including the coins. Each coin has its own name and their locations are:
Coin 1: Virginia
Chapter: The Park, Tracking Lesson.
You acquire this coin as part of the main story. Throw a bottle through the window to your right as you enter the building then go to the side of the rubbish bin to find the Virginia Coin.
Coin 2: Alaska
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Stadium.
Once you have grabbed your backpack head out to the Stadium platform then before you get to the stack of logs, look to your left to find the Alaska Coin on the floor.
Coin 3: Maine
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Stadium.
Head down the stairs then rather than going down to the lower levels continue forward to find the Maine Coin on the right side of a bench in front of the clothes washing station.
Coin 4: New Jersey
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Stadium.
After playing with the dogs go through the gate and into the tunnel. Look to your right just pass the concrete checkpoint where you will find the New Jersey Coin on the floor.
Coin 5: Vermont
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Stadium.
After you get your weapons with Manny, rather than heading out continue forward then go to the top left corner to find the Vermont Coin in an open storage cabinet.
Coin 6: Kentucky
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, On Foot.
Wait for Abby, Manny and Mel to get into the warehouse where Abby will slam the shutter down. From here, look to you right where you will see a table upon which will be the Kentucky Coin.
Coin 7: Massachusetts
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, On Foot.
After entering the garden centre go towards the back staying to the left where you will find the Massachusetts Coin next to a till register on a rusty table.
Coin 8: Ohio
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, On Foot.
Continue through the area to where Mel opens the door for you then grab the metal ladder / walkway from the floor. Ordinarily you would use the walkway to make a bridge over to the boat, however, aim the camera up where you will see a place icon allowing you to place the ladder against the wall where you can climb up. Once up here go to the left where you will find the Ohio Coin on a table.
Coin 9: Indiana
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, On Foot.
Once you’re back outside and are going down the stairs to meet up with Manny you will see a beige trailer in front of you. Go down the left side of the trailer where you can smash a window allowing you to enter then go to your left to find the Indiana Coin on the desk.
Coin 10: California
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Forward Base.
When you get to the base rather than going forward through the gate, take a right once you pass the trucks, go up the stairs looking right to find the California Coin on the floor next to the railings.
Coin 11: New Mexico
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Forward Base.
After going through the gate and signing in rather than going forward, go round to the left behind the troops where you will find the New Mexico Coin on a green supply crate.
Coin 12: South Carolina
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Forward Base.
Once you’re back inside with Manny pass the smoking NPC who’s standing guard on the door you will usually follow the path around to the right, however, to find the South Carolina Coin look to your left to find the Coin on a table.
Coin 13: North Dakota
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, Hostile Territory.
As you’re going through the chapter you need to jump on to a Motorhome allowing you to get into the building through an open window. Once inside go straight forward looking to your right to see a unit with a closed drawer you can open to collect the North Dakota Coin.
Coin 14: Alabama
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Coast.
Once pass the containers go up the fallen sections of building that have become ramps then once up the first set of ramps continue forward rather than turning around to find the Alabama Coin next to a corpse.
Coin 15: West Virginia
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Coast.
Make your way up through the Ferry sticking to the left side where you will be able to climb a flight of stairs after acquiring the Crossbow. Go around to the right then right again to come to a dead end with some luggage on the floor. On the top of the yellow suitcase will be the West Virginia Coin.
Coin 16: Utah
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Coast.
Head all the way up and through the Ferry to the Bridge where you can climb the ladder leading through to the next section. Usually at the top of the ladder you would go straight across, however, to collect the Utah Coin you need to turn around and go behind the structure to collect the coin.
Coin 17: Mississippi
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Coast.
Before going through the Aquarium there will be a large fountain to your right. Go the right side of the fountain to find the Mississippi Coin.
Coin 18: Nevada
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Shortcut.
Proceed through the chapter with Lev until the area opens up where you will have a large truck in the water, a lot of fast moving water to your left and a Barbers on the corner behind the truck. Go into the Barbers and look on the counter to find the Nevada Coin.
Coin 19: Colorado
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Shortcut.
Jump over the remains of the road allowing you access into the building where you would usually go through the blue doors in the top right corner. However, to collect the Colorado Coin you need to go right through an open window bringing you out to a balcony at the end of which will be the coin.
Coin 20: Illinois
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Descent.
After dropping from the crane into the swimming pool wait for Lev and Abby to stop talking then dive down to find the Illinois Coin on a grate.
Coin 21: Oregon
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Descent.
The trickiest coin in the game to collect given the maze-like nature of the area. Just before dropping down to the lowest section there will be a long metal beam you can cross which once across you need to take a left pass a mattress with 3 slash marks on it and jump across the gap into the adjacent room. Once across look to the right to find the Oregon Coin on a small ledge.
Coin 22: Wisconsin
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Descent.
After Abby shuts the elevator doors just before the Shambler gets to her, both Abby and Lev will drop down onto another elevator and then through into the hallway. You need to look to your left where you will find a vending machine. Smash the glass of the vending machine to make the Wisconsin Coin appear in the change dispenser.
Coin 23: Rhode Island
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Descent.
Once you’re back outside and have slid down the ramp cross the seating area to the bar then head behind the left side of the bar to find the Rhode Island Coin.
Coin 24: Missouri
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Descent.
Continue through until you get to the grounds of the hospital where there will be an Ambulance to your right. Go to the back of the Ambulance looking pass it to find a building you can enter. Continue forward once inside to find the Missouri Coin on the floor.
Coin 25: Washington
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, Ground Zero.
Head through to the waiting room where you can go over to the left behind the counter at the end of which will be the Washington Coin.
Coin 26: Hawaii
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, Ground Zero.
Continue through the area to where you lift the shutter allowing you to carry on then before moving too far forward look to your left to find a small security booth. Go up to the booth and smash the window which will allow you to collect the Hawaii Coin from the table.
Coin 27: Kansas
Chapter: Seattle Day 3, The Marina.
Once the chapter starts and you’re in control of Abby jump over the railings behind you to find the Kansas Coin on the floor.
Coin 28: Louisiana
Chapter: Seattle Day 3, The Marina.
Continue through the chapter to the small train station then stay to the right in between the platform and the bushes and go to the end of the path. Look on the floor to your left to find the Louisiana Coin.
Coin 29: Idaho
Chapter: Seattle Day 3, The Island.
Go up the long ladder with Yara to where you will see an open backed semi truck just over to your left which you can head into, looking to the front of the trailer to find the Idaho Coin.
Coin 30: North Carolina
Chapter: Seattle Day 3, The Island.
Follow the story path through the woodland area to where you jump over a small wooden fence and go forward some more to where you will see 2 abandoned cars to your left. Look on the ground next to the nearside rear wing of the car closest to the gulley to find the North Carolina Coin.
Coin 31: Montana
Chapter: Seattle Day 3, The Island.
Head over to the wooden building which has a lot of barrels in the ground floor and a ramp to the right of the building with some stacks of logs you can use to get up to the first floor. Head to the left towards the large opening to find the Montana Coin on a crate to the right of the opening.
Coin 32: Arkansas
Chapter: Seattle Day 3, The Escape.
Go up through the basement and out the shop into the street where you would usually go under the trailer of the abandoned truck. Instead, go to your left and look behind the shopping cart where you will find the Arkansas Coin on the floor.
Once you have found all 32 coins your Trophy will then unlock.
