There are 14 safes to be opened as you play through The Last Of Us Part II and they will need to be opened as both Ellie and Abby.
To open a safe you will need the combination which is ordinarily a 6 digit code you input by spinning the dial on screen with Up / Down until you get to the number(s) you need then press Cross to move to the next number.
Do this until you have input the code then press Cross to open the safe.
In this guide we’ll take you through all 14 safes, all of which can be opened via chapter select from the main menu as long as you haven’t completed the final, The Farm mission before hand.
Safe 1
Chapter: Jackson, Patrol.
Continue through the chapter until you and Dina go into a building where you put your masks on due to the spores then head through to the left then go right through the crack in the wall.
Walk right into a small at room at the back of which will be the safe.
Input the code: 07-20-13 to open it.
Safe 2
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, Downtown.
You will need to be in Westlake Bank which can be found in the Southern portion of the map on Cherry Street then once you’re in the ruins of the bank head through then left behind the cashiers counter.
Take an immediate left where you will see the vault door.
Input the code: 60-23-06 to open the vault.
Safe 3
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, Downtown.
The third safe is found at the West side of Madison Street, head pass the Courthouse and the truck going downhill to find a set of metal gates and a truck.
Make your way through the slightly open metal gates then go to the right on a balcony to find the safe.
Input the code: 04-51 to open the safe.
Safe 4
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, Downtown.
As you’re making your way through the Courthouse with Dina, head down the stairs then look to the left to see a set of 2 windows which you can smash.
Once you’ve smashed one vault through it by pressing Cross then turn around to find the safe under the desk you just jumped over.
Input the code: 86-07-22 to open the safe.
Safe 5
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, Capitol Hill.
Make your way into the Wellwishers store found in the section where you need to detonate the tripwires after finding Tommy’s horse.
Once in the store go left and left again through a white door where you will be ambushed by a legless Clicker. Take it out where you will then be able to head over to the safe at the back of the room.
Input the code: 55-01-33 to unlock the safe.
Safe 6
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, Hillcrest.
Look at the Liquor Store from the corner across the street then turn around and jump over the metal fence.
Go right then head left pushing the big rubbish bin out of the way, open the door where you will be ambushed so put the enemy down where you can then enter the building looking to the right to find the safe.
Input the code: 30-82-65 to open the safe.
Safe 7
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Seraphites.
As Ellie is hunting down Nora, she will need to jump up through to an apartment building by jumping onto a truck allowing you to get on to a ledge then finally smashing your way through into the building.
Ordinarily you would take a left through the white door in this room, however, to find the safe you need to go through the door at the back of the room then look to your left to find the safe.
Input the code: 10-08-83 to open the safe.
Safe 8
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Seraphites.
Continue through the chapter to just after where the big guy throws you over a table and you head down a ladder into the water below.
You need to go forward and up the stairs to your left where you will come to Weston’s Pharmacy.
Once inside look to your left after taking a few steps forward to find a broken section of wall you can crawl under then go to the top left corner to find the safe.
Input the code: 38-55-23 to open the safe.
Safe 9
Chapter: Seattle Day 3, The Flooded City.
Once you’re off the boat before opening the metal gate go around to your left and up the stairs then hold Triangle to pull a cart out of the way opening a crawlspace.
Go through then jump over the barrier dropping down 2 levels to be back in the water and turn around to find the safe.
Input the code: 70-12-64 to open the safe.
Safe 10
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, On Foot.
Continue through the chapter until you meet up with Manny then go round to the left of the building where Abby can squeeze through a crack in the wall.
Once you’re in the room look to your left to find the safe.
Input the code: 17-38-07 to open the safe.
Safe 11
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, Hostile Territory.
After Abby has dropped down the brick wall she will come to a parade of shops.
Head left then go into the first shop on your left; Jasmine Bakery where you will find the safe against the back wall.
Input the code: 68-96-89 to open the safe.
Safe 12
Chapter: Seattle Day 1, The Coast.
Go into the Ferry and make your way up to the Bridge being careful as there are several nasty enemies waiting to ambush you including Clickers and a Shambler.
To the left of the ship’s controls will be the safe.
Input the code: 90-77-01 to open the safe.
Safe 13
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Shortcut.
Jump across the gap to a balcony when you are with Lev then go into the first door on your right.
Against the right wall next to the desk will be the safe.
Input the code: 30-23-04 to open the safe.
Safe 14
Chapter: Seattle Day 2, The Descent.
After you have fallen from the crane into the swimming pool you can then go through the right set of doors to come to a gymnasium.
Make your way to the top left door then once in the small room look to your right to find the safe.
Input the code: 12-18-79 to open the safe.
Once you have successfully opened all 14 safes your Trophy will then unlock.
