Lords Of The Fallen Classes

Here we will go over the Lords of the Fallen Classes of which there are 9 in the base game with 4 more being unlockable once you have beaten the main game under certain conditions or have pre-purchased the Deluxe edition giving you a grand total of 13 classes you can explore the game with on subsequent playthroughs. 9 classes are available to choose from the start of the game and some of them are considered advanced classes which essentially means they are harder to master than some of the more conventional classes and the potentially strongest classes are locked behind particular endings or requirements in game.

Classes

The 13 classes you have available in Lords of the Fallen are:

Hallowed Knight

A stalwart Knight whose loyalty to the Cleric and the Hallowed Sentinels is matched only by their determination to destroy Adyr and the Rhogar. A class focused on physical prowess bolstered by Radiance. The Hallowed Knight class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Hallowed Knight Sword.
  • Hallowed Knight Shield.
  • Grenade.
  • Hallowed Knight Helm.
  • Hallowed Knight Armour.
  • Hallowed Knight Gauntlets.
  • Hallowed Knight Leggings.

The Hallowed Knight will be a very good choice for anyone who is familiar with the Dark Souls games (Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls 2 and Dark Souls 3) as the sword and shield combat will be almost second nature.

Udirangr Warwolf

A hardened champion from the land of Udirangr who has proven themselves worthy of their people’s honoured rank of Warwolf by completing the requisite ancient trial, one which few survive. A devastating but lightly armoured class driven by raw strength, for good or ill. The Udirangr Warwold class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Udirangr Warwolf Sword.
  • Bloody Hatchet.
  • Udirangr Warwolf Hood.
  • Udirangr Warwolf Armour.
  • Udirangr Warwolf Sleeve.
  • Udirangr Warwolf Trousers.

The Udirangr Warwolf class is all about brute forcing through your your opponents using large swords to cleave through anyone stupid enough to land

Partisan

A dutiful Mournstead fighter whose sorrow at the ruination of their kingdom by occupying forces only fuels their defiant struggle name in its name, whether fighting up-close with their steel flail or from range with a crossbow. A strong and dependable all-rounder class. The Partisan class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Partisan Flail.
  • Partisan Shield.
  • Partisan Crossbow.
  • Rived Bolts.
  • Partisan Hood.
  • Partisan Armour.
  • Partisan Gauntlets.
  • Partisan Leggings.

The Partisan is a very good choice if you are new to these style of games as the Partisan marries offence and defence really well and given the fact the shield will negate a good portion of damage means you will stay alive for longer

Mournstead Infantry

A seasoned Mournstead foot soldier whose time in the mud and blood tumult of battle taught them the value of agility, speed and keeping the enemy at a distance. A class for those who favour dexterity and light defence over strength and bulkier armour. The Mounstead Infantry class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Mournstead Infantry Spear.
  • Mournstead Infantry Shield.
  • Short Javelin.
  • Mournstead Infantry Helm.
  • Mournstead Infantry Armour.
  • Mournstead Infantry Gloves.
  • Mournstead Infantry Leggings.

The Mournstead Infantry class is one better suited for defensive players who prefer to poke out from behind a shield rather than going all out combat. The Spear will do heavy damage and the shield will suffice against most attacks so if you’re struggling, give this class a go.

Blackfeather Ranger

A member of the elite band of rangers who patrolled the forests of the fief of Kinrangr before a terrible curse born of grief lay waste to their home. An accessible class ideal for those who prefer versatility over a more focused approach. The Blackfeather Range class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Blackfeather Range Axe.
  • Blackfeather Ranger Shield.
  • Blackfeather Ranger Bow.
  • Oak Arrows.
  • Blackfeather Ranger Hat.
  • Blackfeather Ranger Armour.
  • Blackfeather Ranger Gloves.
  • Blackfeather Ranger Trousers.

The Blackfeather Ranger favours ranged combat and if enemies do break through your arrow barrages they will then be met with powerful strikes from and axe and shield which allows you enough time to cleave through the initial waves then utilise the bow to fend off the stragglers..

Exiled Stalker

A former imperial assassin, their downfall and subsequent banishment from their homeland has made of them a nomadic cutthroat, killing swiftly and efficiently for nothing more than coin. A challenging class to master, but also a lethally effective one. The Exiled Stalker class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Exiled Stalker Dagger x2.
  • Lacerating Knife.
  • Exiled Stalker Headscarf.
  • Exiled Stalker Garb.
  • Exiled Stalker Wrappings.
  • Exiled Stalker Trousers.

The Exiled Stalker is listed as an advanced class, however, if you favour fast, unshielded combat similar to Bloodborne or Lies of P then this class will be almost second nature as the Daggers the Stalker utilises just blend through lower level mobs whilst also having the power to shred bosses as well. There is little to no defence here so ensure you manage your stamina to roll out of the way as one or two hits will see you in trouble.

Orian Preacher

A wandering preacher whose unshakeable faith in the divine will of Orius guides their way while they spread his holy light. A physically vulnerable class reliant on Radiance, whether for protection or searing the sinful flesh of heretics. The Orian preacher comes equipped with the following items:

  • Orian Preacher Hammer.
  • Orian Preacher Shield.
  • Orian Preacher Catalyst.
  • Radiant Flare. Spell
  • Orian Preacher Hat.
  • Orian Preacher Garb.
  • Orian Preacher Wrappings.
  • Orian Preacher Skirt.

The Orian Preacher utilises Radiance to attack enemies with ranged magic in an attempt to cleanse the darkness from the World and when that fails the classes carries a decent hammer. This is an advanced class and in my opinion one of the weaker ones in the early game. The Radiance spells you can access later though are enemy melters. You just need the skill to get there.

Pyric Cultist

A fervent worshipper of Adyr who has sowrn to see the natural order finally restored and humanity’s one try god return to his rightful place as their ruler. A high-risk class reliant on proficiency in Inferno. The Pyric Cultis class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Pyric Cultist Staff.
  • Pyric Cultist Catalyst.
  • Infernal Orb. Spell.
  • Pyric Cultist Hood.
  • Pyric Cultist Garb.
  • Pyric Cultist Gloves.
  • Pyric Cultist Leggings.

The Pyric Cultist is a lethal class both in terms of offensive capabilities and in a serious lack of defence. On one hand you can inflict serious amounts of ranged damage with fire and long striking melee attacks with the Polearm but when things get a bit heavy you won’t survive long. An advanced class that requires plenty of speccing to get proficient in.

Condemned

A wretched prisoner who has suffered indescribable torments, whether there was ever any truth in their guilt or not. A class for those who would rage at fate and throttle adversity with unflinching, blood-soaked hands. The Condemned Class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Broken Bucket.
  • Throwing Rock.
  • Condemned Head Cage.
  • Condemend Garb.
  • Condemned Manacles.
  • Condemned Fetters.

The Condemned class is the one of the weaker starting classes, however, it also allows you to spec through whichever way you would like and even though the weapon is a broken bucket, dual wielding it can rip through enemies with ease. Very little to no defensive capabilities at the start but once built out this prisoner turned slayer can wreck..

Dark Crusader

The Dark Crusader class is unlocked either by purchasing the Deluxe version of the game or by completing Isaac’s questline. Either way it’s one of the best classes in the game especially if you favour melee combat.
A Paladin of the Dark Crusaders, an elite military order in service to the Church of Orian Radiance, spreading the teachings of the church and Orius via whatever means necessary. A physically powerful class suitable for those who favour a more aggressive approach. The Dark Crusader class come equipped with the following items:

  • Paladin Isaac’s Sword.
  • Radiantburst Parchment.
  • Paladin Helm.
  • Paladin Armour.
  • Paladin Gauntlets.
  • Paladin Leggings.
  • Paladin’s Pendant.

The Dark Crusader class is worth the extra money if you want to buy the Deluxe edition and I don’t say that lightly as I’m opposed to spending in games as a general rule but this class can cleave through tough enemies with ease and it comes with a decent health pool and defensive stats as well making it very useful against those tougher earlier bosses.

Lord

The Lord class is unlocked by achieving the Inferno ending and is a mage who favours both Melee and Spell combat and one who is highly proficient at both. Even though you will need to complete the game to unlock the Lord class the only way to use it is to start a completely fresh playthrough which is a bit of a body blow but given the power the Lord class wields it won’t be the lengthiest playthrough.
The Lord class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Lord Axe.
  • Lord Catalyst.
  • Adyr’s Endurance Spell.
  • Infernal Weapon Spell.
  • Infernal Slash Spell.
  • Lord Mask.
  • Lord Armour.
  • Lord Gauntlets.
  • Lord Leggings.
  • Ring of Bones.
  • Ring of Duty.

The Lord class is a beastly class which focusing on pure damage whether it be through magic or melee, if there’s an enemy in your way you will have a way to deal with it as the Lord.

Radiant Purifier

The Radiant Purifier class is unlocked by achieving the Radiance ending and is one who utilises both Radiance magic and melee combat with deadly efficiency in an attempt to bring down all who stand before you. If you like Radiance and wish the Orian Preacher hit harder then this is the class for you. Even though you will need to complete the game to unlock the Radiant Purifier class the only way to use it is to start a completely fresh playthrough which isn’t going to make a lot of players happy but it is the way it is.
The Radiant Purifier class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Radiant Purifier Polearm.
  • Radiant Purifier Catalyst.
  • Piercing Light Spell.
  • Healing Sigil Spell.
  • Aura of Tenacity Spell.
  • Radiant Purifier Hat.
  • Radiant Purifier Robes.
  • Radiant Purifier Gauntlets.
  • Radiant Purifier Trousers.
  • Empyrean Pendant.

The Radiant Purifier is a battle mage who will light the way through the game and when that fails this class can crush enemies with powerful, well spaced hard hitting weapons.

Putrid Child

The Putrid Child class is unlocked by achieving the Umbral Ending and is one who utilises magic above all else and will be the best pure Mage in the game and as such melee combat is not recommended. If you want to use any style of magic then this is the class for you. Even though you will need to complete the game to unlock the Putrid Child class the only way to use it is to start a completely fresh playthrough which isn’t the best news but given the power and efficacy of magic in The Lords of the Fallen it’s a worthy trade.
One who has gazed into the truth beyond the shroud and been born anew in the glory of the Putrid Mother, revelling in atrophy and manipulating death itself.  An advanced class for those certain that supremacy lies in the eternal power of Umbral, not base conjurings or ephemeral flesh of steel. The Putrid Child class comes equipped with the following items:

  • Putrid Child Sword.
  • Putrid Child Catalyst.
  • Lingering Despair Spell.
  • Putrefaction Spell.
  • Diminishing Missile Spell.
  • Putrid Child Mask.
  • Putrid Child Robes.
  • Putrid Child Arm Wrappings.
  • Putrid Child Led Wrappings.
  • Pendant of Parting.

The Putrid Child is essentially a wizard especially when spec’d and built correctly, the Putrid Child class is one where you wouldn’t need to have a weapon equipped as the power of the spells can keep 99% of enemies at bay with relative ease.

That’s a look at all of the Lords of the Fallen classes. Which one are you playing through as?.
