Uno Rules & Other Information
(Rules for UNO are also available in-game, by going to Help & Options > Tutorials).
Welcome to UNO! A classic card game which the objective is to empty your hand of all your cards. Each player will be dealt 7 cards at the beginning of the match, with 4 players each game. This section is to help out with the rules and tips.
Main Rules:
The main objective is to place down of all your cards. You can place down cards if you have either the same colour or value as the last played card.
Here is an example:
- [+2] can be placed on [8] because they are the same colour.
- [4] can be placed on [4] because they have the same value. This also can apply to action cards.
Action cards are cards that are not numbers, and prompts a change in game. Here is what each of these action cards do.
A Wild Draw Four card has a couple of rules. The next person has to draw four cards and skip their turn. The person who placed it gets to choose the active colour of play. If somebody thinks you used this card when you had another possible card to play, they may challenge it. If you had another card you could have played instead of this, you must draw four yourself and the other person’s turn isn’t skipped. If that was the only card you could have played, the other person must draw six cards instead of four.
- If you do not have any cards you can play, you must draw a card.
- Once you get down to one card, you must call UNO. If somebody calls UNO before you, you must draw two cards.
Special House Rules:
House Rules are optional rules the host of the game may pick. Here is each one explained.
- Jump-In: Whenever a card is played during a round, if you have that exact card you will have a chance to play it. Play it quick enough, and you will place it down and it will be the person next to your turn.
- 7-0: If you play a 7, you will be able to swap hands with anybody you want. If you play a 0, everybody will give their hand to the next person.
- Stacking: If a Draw Two or a Draw Four is played, you may play the same type of card and add to the penalty to the next person.
Online and Offline Matches:
All the trophies are labelled if they can be earned online or offline. Generally, it is easier to play offline because the bots do not have certain skills real players have, but you can still earn them online if you would like. Offline games can only have bots, so no other real players can join. If you are boosting, you have to do it in an offline match. Use a Boosting Session to find somebody to help. You cannot use split screen with two controllers, but if you have multiple PS4s or both a PS4 and a PS5 you could boost yourself with multiple accounts.
2v2 or Classic Match:
There are two types of game modes, 2v2 and Classic. With a 2v2 match you play with another player against the 2 opposing players. A Classic match is you versus everybody else. Playing a 2v2 match will increase your chance to win, but will decrease the number of cards being thrown at you, making it harder to do some of the trophies such as Nerves of Steel. It is recommended to play a Classic match to increase the number of cards being played against you, and you will most likely win a lot of matches in the progress.

This is one of the few trophies that should be boosted. To boost UNO games enter a classic match and invite a friend. Change the match settings to “Draw to Match: ON”. Your friend should draw as many cards as they can, so no matter what they will have a card they could’ve played instead. Your friend should then place down the Wild Draw Four card for you to challenge it and to win the challenge.

This can only be done online, and not with bots. to play online go from the main menu to “Online Play” and click either “Classic Match” or “2v2 Match”. This can be boosted if you want, but it is pretty easy to do legitimately. To check your amount of wins go from “Online Play” to “Leaderboards” and scroll down to total wins.
Alternatively, you can create a private match and invite your friend. The game will fill the session with 2 bots to accompany you, but the friend purposely not winning will help a bit. If you would like to boost this create a Boosting Session.
Flying Higher
Win a match with more than 700 points.
For this trophy you will need to win a match with over 700 points at the end. To get points, you will need to win a match and whatever cards your opponents have left will be added up to your points (Number cards are their printed value, action cards are 20 points, Wild Draw Four cards are 50 points). This trophy will most likely have to be boosted.
To boost this, go from the main menu to “Online Play” to “Classic Match” and create a match. Turn “Draw-to-Match” on. (Make sure you don’t have “7-0” on.) Keep the lobby locked and invite a friend. This friend should constantly be drawing cards the whole game. Make sure you win the match against the 2 other bots. If your friend has enough cards you should unlock Flying Higher. This trophy can be earned both online and offline.

You will unlock Collector after earning all other trophies. Think of it as a platinum, or a very pretty gold trophy!.
