Here is the Black Myth Wukong Urge Unfulfilled trophy guide which will help you find and speak to Ma Tianba, the Horse NPC who can be found in each of the main chapters in the game and needs to be spoken with at the earliest opportunities you have as this trophy is highly missable.
As you progress through the game, there will be a boss which ends each given chapter. You need to speak with Ma Tianba before taking down each of the following 5 bosses otherwise it will negate this trophy meaning you need to try it in either new game+ or go down the unrecommended route of starting a fresh playthrough as you are only allowed 1 auto save in the game:
- Black Wind Mountain: Black Bear Guai.
- Yellow Wind Ridge: Yellow Wind Sage.
- The New West: Yellowbrow.
- The Webbed Ridge: Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master.
- Flaming Mountains: Yaksha King.
Ma Tianba can be found at the following locations, just ensure you exhaust all of his dialogue (where he starts repeating lines) to ensure the interactions count towards Urge Unfulfilled:
Black Wind Mountain
Location: Black Wind Mountain, Bamboo Grove, Back Hills.
Take out the Lingxuzi boss then head down the ramp by the back hills shrine and take a left through the water then enter the cavern. Go over to the right where you can speak with Ma Tianba. Ensure you exhaust the dialogue which you will know you have done when the dialogue he uses is the same consecutive times.
Yellow Wind Ridge
Location: Yellow Wind Ridge, Sandgate Village, Village Entrance.
Cross the bridge and enter the open area ensuring you take out the Elite enemies taking care as they will explode. Rest as needed once they’re dead as they won’t come back then go back over to the left of the area where the Elite’s were, jump over the buildings and take out the Earth Wolf boss. With the Wolf down go over to the back building where Ma Tianba will be sitting in the shade. Ensure you speak with him again exhausting the dialogue.
The New West
Location: The New West, New Thunderclap Temple, Temple Entrance.
From the Temple Entrance shrine, go forward up the stairs then off to the left where you can pass the Mages and go up through the building with the 3 Blind Monks. At the top of the building take a left out onto the bridge then look behind the third pillar on your left to find Ma Tianba having a rest, speak with him ensuring you exhaust all dialogue to receive the Trailblazer’s Scarlet Gourd.
The Webbed Ridge
Location: The Webbed Ridge, Webbed Hollow, Middle Hollow / Bonevault.
Ma Tianba can be found inside a large cocoon he has been trapped in by the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master boss you will pass by on your way to the Cliff of Oblivion shrine having defeated the Centipede Guai boss who is accessible from the Middle Hollow or Bonevault shrines depending on the route you took. Smash the cocoon to free the Horse then speak with him ensuring you exhaust all dialogue.
Flaming Mountains
Location: Flaming Mountains, Furnace Valley, Valley Entrance.
The final location for Ma Tianba is unfortunately meant in every sense of the word as when you can interact with him he is dying, having been crushed by one of the 5 Carts that are holding Flaming Mountains under guard for the Yaksha King (technically Red Boy but you’ll figure that all out at the end of the chapter). Go through to where you take on and defeat Red Boy having avoided the ball then ensure you lose to the Yaksha King to be able to access a secret area in the Flaming Mountains. You will also need to have defeated the first 3 carts on your way to the Valley Entrance, 2 are mandatory, the third is optional but will be on the main path after defeating the Keeper of Flaming Mountains boss and the Yin Yang Fish boss.
Fast travel back to the Valley Entrance shrine, equip the Flaming Mantle Vessel to negate fire damage then to the first Earth Rakshasa enemy, go right then double back on yourself across the lava towards the Cart then ensure you defeat all enemies in the local area. From here here you can then interact with the whip hanging from the front of the Cart which you may need to do several times as you listen to Ma Tianba die under the weight of the Cart where you will then receive the Dark Thunder Transformation as well as unlock Urge Unfulfilled.
