Here we will go over where you can find all of the Borderlands 4 Legendary Gear, well, I say all, everything that I have managed to find to date. If you know of any legendaries that are missing, let me know and I’ll get to farming. Legendaries are some of the best items you can equip in Borderlands 4 and for the most part they are incredibly powerful / useful items which can carry you through some of the tougher missions. Don’t get me wrong them some of the legendary items in Borderlands 4 are complete duds and whose only use is to be sold save for some strict use cases.
I will break the legendary items I have found thus far into their own categories so each type of gun, then Repkits, Ordnance, Class Mods, Shields and finally the Enhancements but bare in mind there are many variations of the particular items so whilst I might have one prefix on a legendary, you might have a completely different prefix which can lead to some confusion but ultimately the legendary itself will have varying levels of efficacy based on the prefix you receive.
Legendary Gear
I’ll tell you where to find the item(s), it’s up to you to get the version you want.
Guns
What would a Borderlands game be without Guns? Not much so fortunately you have access to an incredible array of firearms to play with in Borderlands 4. They’ve dropped fan favourites like the Rocket Launcher and decided to not add any new additions which is disappointing, that said though, the guns they do have make Borderlands 4 feel like Borderlands in all the right ways.
Assault Rifles
Assault Rifles for the most part come with large magazines, decent range, accuracy and power then once you factor in the Borderlands element then sky’s the limit of damage, elemental damage, alternative fire modes and some fairly funky reloads. Refer to the Legendary Assault Rifles to see the AR’s I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Assault Rifle you’re looking for:
Pistols
Pistols have their uses but they are also on the low end of the power scale, if you can find one that is rapid firing and or has some elemental damage attached to it then a pistol could be worth equipping but given the damage of the other types of guns in Borderlands 4, for me a Pistol is more of a last resort when trying to get a second wind and the other 3 equipped guns are dry on ammo. Refer to the Legendary Pistols to see the Pistols I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Pistol you’re looking for:
Shotguns
Shotguns are all about inflicting maximum damage to a single target and should be one of the main sources of damage in the game. Torgue make some of the best Shotguns as do Maliwan for that extra kick from the elemental damage. Shotguns are like Repkits, you should never leave home without one as they are really good for getting back up whilst in Fight For your Life, aim high and blast away. Refer to the Legendary Shotguns to see the Shotguns I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Shotgun you’re looking for:
Sub-Machine Guns
Sub-Machine Guns or SMGs for those of you who are acronymically endowed are very fast firing thus making them decent damage guns which once combined with an element a given enemy is weak to can deal out some serious damage. Most SMGs in the game are Maliwan which then gives you the added benefit of being able to switch between 2 pre-set elemental damage types which gives you a lot of versatility on the field. Refer to the Legendary SMG’s to see the Sub-Machine Guns I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the SMG you’re looking for:
Sniper Rifles
Sniper Rifles give you a lot of accuracy and power from a distance which ordinarily would be a good thing, the part where they fall down, however, is at launch at least the draw distance isn’t that good in game even on very high end rigs so unless you find an incredibly hard hitting SR that has a high damage output and fast reload it might be worth your while skipping these for the most part. I’d equip a decent Sniper Rifle if I didn’t have a good shotgun for Fight for your Life. Refer to the Legendary Sniper Rifles to see the Sniper Rifles I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Sniper Rifle you’re looking for:
Repkits
Repkits are timed consumables you use to heal yourself in battle which will then hopefully give you enough time to put your enemies down before going into Fight for your Life. The cooldown time isn’t very generous in Borderlands 4 where Repkits are concerned so use them sparingly. Refer to the Legendary Repkits to see the Repkits I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Repkit you’re looking for:
Ordnance
Ordnance is a bit weird in Borderlands 4 as it comes in many shapes and sizes, you could have a small little throwing knife, a grenade that bounces, spits out bullets and spawns multiple MIRVs or you could go as far as having a rail cannon that needs to be charged up then released to obliterate anything in front of you. Refer to the Legendary Ordnance to see which Ordnance I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Ordnance you’re looking for:
Grenades
Heavy Weapon Ordnance
Throwing Knives
Class Mods
Having the correct Class Mod equipped can be a serious benefit, the main issue in the game is Class Mods drop but they have a 1 in 4 chance (at launch) of dropping for your class. You could get a Legendary Class Mod drop for Amon but if you’re playing as Vex it won’t do you a lot of good unless you put it either in the bank or use it for funding your next respawn. Refer to the Legendary Class Mods to see the Class Mods I have found so far for each character. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Class Mod you’re looking for:
Amon
Harlowe
Rafa
Vex
Shields
Shields are one of the most useful and essential items you can equip in Borderlands 4 as they eat up damage before your health bar takes a draining. If you’re new to the Borderlands franchise, firstly, where’ve you been? and secondly Shields come in all sorts of variety. You could find a shield that releases a massive radiation based nova essentially nuking your enemies, others drop health boosters and there’s even shields that fire a missile barrage when you are in combat. Variety is the spice of life so they say, items don’t get much more varied than Shields. Refer to the Legendary Shields to see the Shields I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Shields you’re looking for:
Enhancements
Enhancements are new to Borderlands games and can give you are boost to any damage type, weapon type or element as well as potentially increasing magazine size, healing efficiency, movement speed and virtually any other stats in the game. Refer to the Legendary Enhancements to see the Enhancements I have found so far. Alternatively, use these links to jump straight to the Enhancement you’re looking for.
That’s all of the Borderlands 4 Legendary Gear I have managed to find so far, we’re always adding to the guide so come back soon to see what else is out there.
